What it means

Highest control — benzodiazepines, strong opioids, buprenorphine, methadone, and other dependence-risk medicines.

Controls

Strict prescription limits; central recording; short supply periods.

Claim note: Insurers frequently query long-term use, sedation, driving, and safety-critical work — pair script history with functional limits and any employer fitness-for-work letters.
