Unscheduled / OTC
What it means
May be sold without a prescription in appropriate pack sizes — still document if relevant to your claim (e.g. daily paracetamol use for chronic pain).
Controls
Pharmacy sale without prescription within published limits.
Claim note: OTC does not mean irrelevant — insurers may ask about self-medication, side-effects, and whether you could function with OTC analgesia alone.
Examples
- Paracetamol (OTC packs)
- Ibuprofen (OTC packs)
- Aspirin (low-dose cardioprotective)
